Timetables & Results

Timetables & results for examination sessions are posted on the notice boards.

We have 4 IDTA examination sessions  and 1 RAD session scheduled in.

Saturday 13th February 2010 (IDTA)
2.30-5.00pm

Thursday 18th March 2010 (IDTA)
9.30-9.00pm

Friday 30th April 2010 (IDTA)
9.30-9.00pm

Monday 28th June (RAD)
Venue & Time to be confirmed

Thursday 22nd July 2010 (IDTA)
9.30-9.00pm

Once exam times have been set, they cannot be altered as we have lots of children taking exams on the same day and there are knock on effects if we should try.

If you know these days are going to be a problem, let me know NOW. I can probably do something about it, or make alternative arrangements.

If we have more exams than I have hours in the day, then I will organise a second examination session at the same time on the same day....a headache to timetable & less flexibility in terms of exam times. So please don't ask me to change the times once I have done the timetable.

If you can't make the time I have given you, then I am really sorry to disappoint you, but you will not be able to take your exam.

  Thanks

Miss Karen

Practicing for Exams

Children practice for exams by repetition of exercises in a particular order. They should wear their uniform to all classes so that they are familiar with it and themselves.

We try to make examination sessions as stress free as possible. Regular attendance at lessons gives your child the confidence that they know the work, so that they can concentrate on performance in the exam.

Exam sessions are not competitions. Each child will have reached a certain level of competence which is particular to them. Not everyone has "natural" ability. But what ability your child has, we will support and encourage them to do their best.

An exam gives your child a particular attainment level (a personal best, if you like)which we hope we and they can improve on at the next session.

There is no first or last place as far as the teacher is concerned, we hope that you and your child see it that way too.

Please support and encourage your child, no matter what their exam mark is. Passing an exam IS an achievement in itself.
