Brief History... |
| Founder and Principal of DDS,
Karen Oates trained with and taught for IDTA Senior Examiner,
Miss Patricia Straw for 8 years.
In 1995, The Karen Oates School of
Theatre Dance opened at a community centre in Toton, Nottingham.
It was only a Saturday morning school. Which fitted in with
my family.
In September 2000, I made the
decision to move to Long Eaton and run the studios as a
professional business on a full time teaching basis.
The studios have grown. From an
initial 20 pupils and 2 teachers, 7 years later on there are
over 250 pupils attending classes, 2 full time teachers, 8 part
time teachers, 2 office staff and a cleaner! |
